Both Junta Ikeda and Andrey Bliznyuk had a chance for second place, with Ikeda starting half a point ahead of Bliznyuk. As it turned out, both players won (Ikeda over Ian Rout, Bliznyuk over Michael Reading) leaving Ikeda in second on 7.5/9 and Bliznyuk in third on 7/9. There was then a huge gap back to 4th placed Jeremy Reading, who beat Peter Pullicino to finish with 4.5/9. In the other game played, Adrian De Noskowski beat Miles Patterson to finish on 3 points.

Interesting to note on Ian Rout's web page the rating changes. Andrew Brown got outright first with an impressive 8/9 but is losing rating points. On the other hand, Peter Pullicino came outright last on 2/9 but is gaining rating points.
