An avalanche of pieces

One of the more striking games from Round 4 of the 2016 NSW Open was played by IM Anton Smirnov. An over ambitious pawn advance by hos opponent allowed the centre to be opened in Smirnov's favour, and after that it was just a swam of pieces invading White's position. Black even had the luxury of offering his queen, and although the sacrifice was not accepted, this just allowed one more piece to joint the attack!
