Courtesy of the FIDE website comes the news that Tshepo Sitale has been awarded the Sports Administrator of the Year by the Botswana Sports Council. This is both a well deserved award, and quite a big deal, as Chess is one of the major sports in Botswana, after Football and Athletics. One of the reasons that it is such a big sport in Botswana is due to the efforts of the younger generation if chess administrators in that country.
