A very short review

The Queen's Gambit on Netflix. I liked it.

But more importantly, how many famous games were used in the series. I have spotted 3 so far (by Greco, Morphy and Reti) and I have seen a reference to another game that was played by Rashid Nehzmetdinov. My list would be a bit longer as I saw that someone had actually collated all the games and put it on youtube or facebook, but for the life of me, I can no longer find it,

The only game I recognized in the first three episodes was Reti-Tartakower (in the first episode, against the high school teacher).

I know I've seen the game against the (?) love interest in the second episode where the knight dominates the rook, but I can't remember who played it. Maybe it's a study.

But yes, I really liked the show, not just the chess aspects. The amount of smoking at the board, dialogue, etc. back then was a bit strange, compared to now I mean, but was realistic I am guessing. I saw in the titles that Garry Kasparov was one of the consultants, so I was thinking he would have liked his famous King chasing game included ;-).
