ACT Chess Clubs - 2013

Unlike previous years, various chess clubs in the ACT are getting off to earlier starts. So here is a quick round up of the various club starting dates, as well as when and where they meet.

• Canberra Chess Club - Starts 16 January. Meets Wednesday nights at the Hellenic Club in the City.
• Tuggeranong Chess Club - Starts 21 January. Meets Monday nights at the Tuggeranong Vikings Rugby Union Club, Ricardo St, Erindale.
• ANU Chess Club - Starts 6 February. Meets Wednesday nights at the Asian Studies Building, Ellery Crescent, ANU
• Belconnen Chess Club - Starts 12 February. Meets Tuesday nights at Building 18, University of Canberra, Hayden Drive.

The first event at Tuggeranong in the 21st is also the ACT Lightning Championship. This will be a 9 round event with a time limit of G/5m.

Apart from the club activities there is also Street Chess, which meets every Saturday from 11am in City Walk, Canberra City (outside King O'Malley's).
