Perhaps they could all be left with the DOP at the start of each round and returned as games finish.
AOAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4459360717297142573.post-47788284750571157442011-06-07T07:58:00.684+10:002011-06-07T07:58:00.684+10:00I suspect that this is where the whole phone-cheat...I suspect that this is where the whole phone-cheating issue is heading. Mobile phones and other such devices will eventually be banned from playing halls, and a player found with one, even if it is switched off etc, will be assumed to be cheating, and penalised accordingly.
This then opens up another can of worms with regard 'burden of proof' etcShaun Presshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00897215011002594039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4459360717297142573.post-58374371559218642972011-06-07T07:36:19.588+10:002011-06-07T07:36:19.588+10:00Shaun

Its not really safe there. I have stockfish and shredder on it, both of which could easily win the Under 1800 section. I also take lots of toilet breaks (suspicious?) because I drink alot of water when I play. So the whole issue of mobile phones, as they become more sophisticated, seems to be very difficult. It would be inconvenient in the extreme to leave my phone at home. At the same time, I would probably support a ban on phones in the hall if it meant an end to cheating -PPAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4459360717297142573.post-26573420604314961072011-06-06T00:45:51.980+10:002011-06-06T00:45:51.980+10:00SADSADPaulhttp://ShadowofDiogenes.blogs.com/shadow/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4459360717297142573.post-90096311619399995202011-06-06T00:45:11.983+10:002011-06-06T00:45:11.983+10:00Very dad indeed...Very dad indeed...Paulhttp://ShadowofDiogenes.blogs.com/shadow/noreply@blogger.com
